On Friday evening, May 13, a woman from Little Rock was killed in a five vehicle crash in Faulkner County.
According to the police, the accident happened at around 6.15 p.m. on Interstate 40 at Conway.
Andrea Epperson, aged 43 of Little Rock, was driving eastbound in a 2013 Toyota Highlander SUV when a Ford F350 truck driving westbound crossed the median and hit her vehicle head on. The SUV then became airborne and was hit by two other vehicles traveling eastbound while airborne. The Ford then collided with another oncoming vehicle in the eastbound lanes.
Epperson was killed and the drivers of three of the other vehicles were taken to UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock, Conway Regional Medical Center in Conway, and Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock hospital but their conditions are unknown. Those drivers were 37 year old Michael Phillips of North Little Rock who was driving the Ford, 44 year old Carol Betts of Neosho, Missouri, and 54 year old Travis Miller of Rison.
Those in the fifth vehicle were not reported as injured.
