On Tuesday, September 13, a man died after his car went into a pond in west Little Rock.
According to Little Rock Police Department, the accident happened at around 5.30 in a man made pond just east of the 1900 block of Rahling Road.
When police arrived, they saw a red car which was fully submerged in the water and having been pulled from the car the driver was taken to a local hospital where he was found to be deceased. Police continued to examine the scene to see if anyone else was in the vehicle.
According to witnesses, the driver, who was later identified as 19 year old Eduardo Miguel Alvarez Flores had been swerving in an out of traffic before leaving the roadway, crashing into trees and then ending up in the pond.
The accident is still under investigation and the results of toxicology are awaited.
